Matchbox Pop-Ups

I did these two matchbox popups based on the idea from a Cricuteer buddy, Scrapalette. Her blog link for directions on this project is: http://scrapalette.blogspot.com/p/project-gallery.html (scroll down to Leprechaun Matchbox and click on that title). My first matchbox has a shape from A Child's Year, the second has a bunny from Create A Critter and both use a Stampin' Up sentiment from the set called "Well Scripted". These are so cute and fun to do. I like doing projects with the wrapped little nugget bars because they make such nice little gifts. Thanks for sharing this really cute idea, Scrapalette!

Quick and Easy Easter Treats

I saw this idea originally at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1287822?&cat=500&ppuser=138865 and just loved it! I made these mini-smores kits for youngest granboy's daycare class, for my grankids and sent some to my sister for her grankids. They are so quick and easy to do. I used scrap paper, a chick from Cricut's Create a Critter cartridge and the sentiment is from a dollar stamp from JoAnn's

Sympathy Card

One of the ladies on the Cricut messageboard has a very close, long-time friend who recently lost her son while he was staioned in Afghanistan. My oldest and first granboy is planning on joining the Marines this summer so this issue hit close to my heart. Here is a simple card I made for my messageboard friend to send to her friend.

The phrase is cut and shadowed from the Cricut Cartridge Stand and Salute. I used white pen to put lines on it, then put it on Coredinations cardstock that had been embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and sanded. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.

On the inside, the sentiment is computer generated and the flag is another old sticker. And again, I entered personal information on it before taking the picture so please excuse the blanked out area.

Birthday card for son

My youngest child (as he would say, not so young any more) is having a birthday soon and I made this card for him. He is the free spirit I always wished I was but never had the courage to be.

The reading boy is from the Cricut cartridge A Child's Year. I put it on white cardstock and ran it thru the Cuttlebug using a SU embossing folder. The sentiment is computer generated on a shape from the Cuttlebug Cut and Emboss set Fanciful Labels. I printed it on paper, wiggled and jiggled it until I got it in the right spot on the cut/emboss sheet, ran it through the Cuttlebug and then used SU real red ink on a dauber to highlight the embossed areas. I also cut one of the strips in black and cut it in the middle, then positioned it to shadow only on the ends and pop dotted.

On the inside, the sentiment is computer generated and the books are an old, old sticker. I had put something personal on it before I thought to take a picture so that personal part is blocked out.
